Community services provides support to adults with an intellectual disability so that they can live independently. Most people rent their own apartment and can be assisted in all areas associated with independent living. Supports are provided on an individualized basis, so that we can customize the help required.

Supports tailored for you

Our team will shape the supports offered based on individual needs and preferences.  Supports are designed to focus on activities of daily living while promoting autonomy and independence.

The frequency of support is customized and can range from multiple daily contacts to weekly, biweekly or check-ins only as needed.

Services offered

Based on an the supports desired, an individualized plan is developed and support can be offered in areas such as:

  • Teaching activities of daily living such as menu planning, grocery shopping, laundry and budgeting

  • Monitoring and/or administration of medications
  • Finding and securing housing as well as maintaining tenant/landlord relationships
